Mathura. Four bogies of a freight train derailed between Azhai station-Chhatkira station in Ma, thura on the Agra-Delhi rail route on Sunday, although no injuries were reported in the accident. Rail traffic between Delhi-Agra was disrupted due to the damage to the railroad, on which the staff was busy in improving the rail route till late Sunday. In fact, four coaches of the goods train carrying rolls of iron sheets towards Delhi derailed between the number 1408/02 Azhai and Chhatikara at around 10:15 am on Sunday morning. Rail traffic was affected on the up and down routes due to some rolls of iron sheets falling on the other tracks. Kota Janshatabdi train standing at the junction was stopped. Mangla Express coming from Delhi was stopped at Kosi railway station. After about an hour and a half, Mangla Express departed for Agra via Palwal, Ghaziabad, Bhusawal and Tundla. At the same time, Kota Janshatabdi was sent to Delhi via Alwar.
Station director Ravi Prakash said that up and down route trains have been affected due to derailment of four coaches of the goods train. Work is on to track the derailed goods coaches on the track. There has been no loss of life in this accident, but railway officials and contractors were seen accusing each other throughout the day. The Agra-Delhi rail route was completely affected in the entire day-long rescue operation for eight hours.
North Central Railway CPRO said that no one was injured in the accident. He said that the up and down main line has been completely disrupted after the derailment of the goods train. Rail traffic was also completely affected. He said that many electric poles have also been broken due to the rail accident. In the accident, the wagon of the freight train completely went out and reached the second line.
