RIP Carl Reiner (March 20, 1922 - June 29, 2020)

RIP Carl Reiner (March 20, 1922 - June 29, 2020) The prolific comedian, actor, director,

screenwriter + publisher's career spanned seven decades. He helped shape 20th century comedy as we know it, and will be known as a legend for it, along with his friendships + kindness.

His comedy energy was one of pure joyfulness.
When we shot the first episodes of my series, Carl came to there visit.
When carl said,

“This is the same stage where we made,  (I felt the stars lining up.)  ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’!”

When I helped present him with the lucy I said, “Lucy Twain was pretty funny but I think he had be more excited to receive 'The Carl Reiner Prize’."

We lost an angel today.

Reiner’s longtime friend Alan andra  said, “carl talent will live on for a long time, but the loss of his kindness and decency leaves a hole in our hearts. i love you, Carl.”

RIP to a true comedy legend, Carl Reiner. Thank you for bringing us so much laughter and joy.

The comedy legend passed away Monday at the age of 98 (jun 2020)

 “The Dick Van Dyke Show”
“3000 Year Old Man,” has died. He was 98. (jun 2020)

(and straight man to Mel Brooks’)

The sad passing of comedy icon Carl Reiner reminds me of five  of the best days of my life, professionally and personally. August 30th 2016, I interviewed the late icon, Don Rickless. The next day, August 31th, I sat down with, in order, legendary Betty White, Carl Reiner, and Dick Van Dyke. Classic Hollywood!
